Ingredients (Makes 4 Servings)

For the Tea

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags (or green tea for a lighter taste)
  • ¼ cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 lemon, juiced (plus extra slices for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional for stronger lemon flavor)
  • 2 cups ice cubes

For Serving

  • Lemon slices 
  • Fresh mint leaves  (optional)

Instructions

1. Brew the Tea

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes (longer for stronger tea).
  3. Remove tea bags and stir in honey or sugar while warm.

2. Add Lemon Flavor

  1. Stir in fresh lemon juice and lemon zest (if using).
  2. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

3. Serve Over Ice

  1. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the chilled lemon iced tea over the ice.
  3. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint.
