This classic peach cobbler features sweet, juicy peaches topped with a buttery, golden crust. It’s an easy, comforting dessert that’s perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!


Ingredients (Serves 6-8)

For the Peach Filling

  • 6-8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced (or 2 cans of sliced peaches, drained)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for thickening)

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For Serving

  • Vanilla ice cream 🍦
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prepare Peaches

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss peach slices with sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

2. Prepare the Batter

  • In another bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in milk until smooth.
  • Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.

3. Assemble the Cobbler

  • Pour the batter over the melted butter (do NOT stir).
  • Evenly spread the peach mixture on top (the batter will rise around the peaches while baking).

4. Bake

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
